Education - Developing Perspectives
The Education department supports refugees and migrants with programmes to teach German, provide career guidance and strengthen digital skills. The focus is on young people and women. The aim is to improve individual prospects on the labour market. In the Education department, the focus is on people and their skills, interests and challenges. In 2024, numerous projects were implemented to support course participants in acquiring German language skills, career guidance and digital skills. The aim was to develop individual skills – from the first steps on the labour market to long-term future planning.
Acomplishments of the Focus on Education in 2024
Course - Basic education for young people and young adults with a
migration background (BAJU):
- Number of participants: 35 (7 women, 28 men)
- Age: 16 to 24
Course - MOM LEARNS GERMAN (MAMA LERNT DEUTSCH -
F.U.T.U.R.E. - TRAIN)
- Number of participants: 62
- Age: 23 to 51
- Children of course participants in child care: 23
Course - Preparatory Course for Apprenticeships (JAWA Next 15)
- Number of participants: 60 (31 women, 29 men)
- Age: 16 to 21
- Results: 53 Successful placements: 34 apprenticeships, 6 jobs, 13 spots in further education or training
Course - Professional Terminology with labor market preparation
for women (FAVoritIN)
- Number of participants: 36 women
- Age: 19 to 50
